Teaching

As a consultant in a teaching hospital he regularly conducts teaching for all levels in healthcare, from medical students and allied health professionals (nurses and physiotherapists) to surgical trainees preparing for the Royal College of Surgeons fellowship exams. He is on the faculty of many national and internationally run courses for Foot & Ankle surgery and Trauma.

Philosophy

Pain in the foot and ankle has a profound effect on the quality of life. The process of dealing with these problems requires an open mind, listening to patients as well as a thorough assessment to arrive at an accurate and correct diagnosis. This then needs to be followed by personalised treatment plan and a multidisciplinary team approach that includes specialist physiotherapy, orthotics and modification of footwear.

Mr Heidari strongly believes that an operation is not always the answer and their relationship with a surgeon that they can trust is paramount and they need to know that their surgeon is able to deal with all aspects of their problem and is appropriately trained.
